Two federal laws may affect how your respond to employee requests for time off to deal with medical and family issues.

With a few exceptions, churches are subject to the same state and federal employment regulations that secular employers face. This overview summarizes: The Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and The Family and Medical Leave Act (FLMA).
