Happy New Year TCN!

A new year brings opportunity to look ahead and imagine where we’d like to be this time next year. Some people choose a word for the year or resolutions to help give them focus toward those goals. TCN is no different. The board and staff are looking forward and making decisions about where we want to be this time next year. We are keeping a close eye on metrics that provide information about our organizational health as well as which programs are working or could be improved. We want to make sure we are supporting church administrative leaders in the most effective ways possible.

Change doesn’t always happen overnight; more often than not, it is a process. The board has prayerfully considered the staff leadership transition of The Church Network, and we have named Phill Martin as the CEO-Elect. He will be leading the staff upon Simeon May’s retirement in July. Some of the shift in responsibility has already begun. Over the next few months, we will work together with the staff to make this transition as smooth as possible. In fact, the board is now meeting monthly via video-conferencing to aid in this transitional season. The board will also develop a strategy and timeline for selecting the future CEO who will follow Phill and carry TCN into the next season.

Change may bring a little anxiety for some, but it also brings opportunity. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) God has a plan for the future of TCN, and we have confidence that he works together for our good as we place our trust in him and lean on his guidance.

Have a wonderful start to your year! May it bring you much peace, favor and blessing as you walk out your calling to serve Him in the local church.
